Airport Vaccination Center
Accelerating global vaccinations.
To accelerate safe vaccinations, three tailored interfaces were designed to help streamline bookings for citizens and logistics for decision-makers and operational teams.
Background
Helping the world get vaccinated.
Airport Vaccination Center is an international startup founded during COVID, offering a patented solution to help pharmaceutical and health organizations accelerate safe vaccination.
It includes two products: a booking web app for citizens and a backend system for governments, pharmaceutical companies and health organizations to manage distribution. Each product required a distinct design approach and therefore lots of research and testing.
The website
Reaching the decision-makers.
I first designed and developed AVC’s website to build brand awareness, inform viewers about AVC's solution, and encourage contact from a targeted audience—pharmaceutical manufacturers, private health companies, governments, NGO’s and public health organizations. I focused on clear information architecture and a professional, credible look. After coding the front end with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I monitored Google Analytics and Hotjar to optimize traffic and conversion.

The app
Booking made accessible.
A key challenge was designing a low-threshold booking system to encourage more citizens to use the app. To reduce cognitive load, I showed one step at a time while keeping users informed of their progress.
With varying rules across countries, I accounted for multiple booking scenarios—and made sure they could run simultaneously. These details are critical to the product’s success.
The platform
Data visualization and mental models.
Together with the airport logistics expert, I defined which data to display for each authority level. I then designed dashboard overviews with clear data visualization and visual hierarchy to support quick data evaluation.
Understanding the user’s daily workflow was key—especially to figure out how they should handle urgent issues. To minimize the learning curve and align with existing airport systems preventing a learning curve, I mirrored familiar data and task visualizations like planning and updating the stock.

Excited about what you see?
I am very interested to hear what you think, whether it’s about my previous projects, potential future projects, the opportunity to work together or even if you want to tell me about your favorite movie. I am already looking forward to reading your message!
